Oakridge Yarra Valley 2025 Rosé from Victoria delivers refreshing citrus and stone fruit flavours with a dry, textured palate—perfect for Australian summer evenings and coastal dining.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

A lovely pale salmon-copper hue evokes sunsets where the desert meets the sea—elegant and inviting in the glass.

Aroma

Lifted aromas of orange peel, mandarins and grapefruit scream refreshment. A gentle creaminess reminds of peaches and cream desserts on a warm summer evening, adding depth to the vibrant citrus notes.

Palate

On the palate, a dry, fresh burst of fruit flavours includes rock melon, mandarins and a glossy glide of peaches and cream. There is just enough pith and texture to keep the fruit flavours in line, whilst the balance between dry and fruit-sweet texture is seamless. The refreshing pithy grip provides structure without overwhelming the delicate fruit character.

Pairs With

Seafood and shellfish such as prawns, oysters and grilled fish complement the wine's citrus brightness, whilst light salads with citrus dressing, soft cheeses and charcuterie match its creamy texture beautifully. Perfect for summer evenings on the superyacht (or tinnie) in Port Phillip Bay, coastal towns, or anywhere that a thirst needs quenching and the ambiance of summer is in the air.

Winemaking Notes

This Yarra Valley Rosé is crafted from a selection of Pinot Noir (60%) and Pinot Meunier (40%) sourced from premium vineyards in Coldstream and Gladysdale in the Upper Yarra Valley. The fruit was gently pressed to extract delicate colour and flavour whilst preserving the wine's fresh, vibrant character. Fermentation was carefully managed at cool temperatures to retain the lifted citrus and stone fruit aromatics. The wine was aged on lees to develop a subtle creamy texture that complements the bright fruit profile, before being bottled to capture the essence of the vintage.

Vintage Conditions

The Yarra Valley vintage delivered ideal conditions for producing elegant Rosé wines. A mild growing season with consistent temperatures allowed the Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes to develop concentrated flavours whilst retaining natural acidity. Moderate rainfall through winter and spring replenished soil moisture, followed by warm, dry days during ripening that intensified aromatics and fruit character. Cool nights preserved freshness and vibrancy in the fruit. Harvest took place under clear skies, with grapes picked at optimal ripeness to achieve the perfect balance between fruit sweetness and refreshing acidity that defines this wine.
