Tasting Notes
Appearance
M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône 2024 presents a deep, vibrant garnet hue with excellent clarity — the hallmark of quality Côtes du Rhône fruit harvested at phenolic maturity and vinified with meticulous attention to detail in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Rich, concentrated and immediately compelling in the glass.
Aroma
Morello cherries lead the aromatics with a vibrant, expressive red fruit generosity — accented by notes of liquorice and grey pepper that add complexity, intrigue and classic Rhône character. Daily pump-overs during vinification gently extract the aromatic components with precision, delivering a bouquet of genuine depth and inviting charm that speaks eloquently of the Côtes du Rhône terroir.
Palate
Robust yet beautifully balanced — the red fruit richness of Morello cherries provides a satisfying depth and concentration, while liquorice and grey pepper add complexity and interest throughout. Decant for 20 minutes to reveal its full complexity.
Pairs With

Winemaking Notes
M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône 2024 is crafted from grapes harvested at phenolic maturity — mainly by machine — before undergoing total de-stemming and vinification in concrete and stainless steel tanks for 3 to 4 weeks. Daily pump-overs gently extract aromatic components, anthocyanins and tannins with precision. Fermentation temperature is regulated at 28°C, rising to 30–33°C at the end of alcoholic fermentation to assist tannin polymerisation and build the wine’s robust yet smooth structure. Matured for 6 months in concrete vats and stainless steel tanks. 14% alc. 750ml. Côtes du Rhône, France.
Vintage Conditions
The Côtes du Rhône appellation is one of the oldest in France — more than two thousand years of winemaking history, with official recognition from the INAO granted in 1937. The Belleruche is sourced from several major terroir types including pebbly clay soils, stony clay terraces and stony silty-sand soils — all providing a constant water supply to the vine, with pebbles releasing stored heat overnight to ensure steady, even ripening. The 2024 vintage delivers classic Côtes du Rhône character with beautiful fruit intensity, tannin integration and the depth and elegance that defines M. Chapoutier’s expertise in this prestigious appellation. M. Chapoutier, Côtes du Rhône, France.
