Dewar’s White Label is one of the world’s most celebrated blended Scotch whiskies — smooth, rich, and remarkably well-balanced, with a flavour profile of citrus, pear, honey, and subtly sweet fruit, underpinned by nutty and smoky tones and a hint of vanilla. First created in 1899 by A.J. Cameron at Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, White Label has spent over 120 years establishing itself as a flagship blend of genuine quality and global renown. Double Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2020.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Warm, pale golden amber — the inviting colour of a well-crafted blended Scotch whisky, with the clarity and brightness that Dewar’s double-ageing process consistently delivers.

Aroma

Approachable and harmonious — citrus and ripe pear lead with honey and a gentle sweetness, complemented by subtle nutty and smoky undertones. The unmistakable nose of a carefully blended Scotch whisky with nearly 150 years of Master Blender expertise behind it.

Palate

Smooth and rich, with citrus, pear, honey, and subtly sweet fruit flavours that carry through to a clean, satisfying finish with a hint of vanilla. Remarkably well-balanced for a blended Scotch — the hallmark of Dewar’s double-ageing philosophy.

Pairs With

Dewar’s White Label pairs beautifully with smoked salmon, mild cheddar, shortbread, and dark chocolate, and is equally at home in a classic Whisky Sour or Rob Roy as it is enjoyed neat or over ice.

Production Notes

Dewar’s White Label is crafted using the pioneering double-ageing process that has defined the brand for nearly 150 years — “Simply put, we age, we blend, we age again.” Component whiskies are first individually aged, then blended by one of Dewar’s seven Master Blenders, and aged a second time to allow the flavours to fully intertwine and harmonise. The result is a blended Scotch whisky of exceptional smoothness and consistency, bottled at 40% ABV. The heart of the blend is drawn from Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery in Perthshire, Scotland.

Producer History

Dewar’s was founded by John Dewar in Perth, Scotland in 1846, and has been at the forefront of blended Scotch whisky production for nearly two centuries. In 1898, production commenced at the Aberfeldy Distillery — and just one year later, A.J. Cameron created the now-iconic White Label blend, which has since become one of the best-selling blended Scotch whiskies in the world. For nearly 150 years, Dewar’s seven Master Blenders have pioneered, evolved, and refined the double-ageing process that gives White Label its signature smoothness and character — a tradition of craftsmanship and quality that remains as relevant today as it was in 1899.
