Aroma

Crafted in the cool-climate region of Tasmania, this Pinot Noir showcases an intense, aromatic profile of black cherry, dark fruits, and subtle raspberry notes. The bouquet reveals layers of complexity that speak to the exceptional terroir of Tasmania's premium wine-growing regions.

Palate

This fruit-forward expression delivers concentrated flavours of black cherry and dark berries, creating a harmonious interplay between richness and freshness. The finish is smooth and lingering, showcasing the hallmark elegance of Tasmanian Pinot Noir. Pairs With

This versatile Pinot Noir is ideally suited to roasted duck breast with cherry jus, where the wine's dark fruit notes echo the richness of the dish, or mushroom risotto with truffle oil, which complements the wine's earthy undertones and velvety texture. Winemaking Notes

Named after a rugged patch in nearby waters, our approach to wine is similar to that of the intrepid sailors who dared to cross it: bold yet humble. Fearless yet considered. Born and bred on the East Coast of Tasmania, out here we hold a special kind of adventurous spirit… never fighting against the elements, but rather, knowing when to lean into them. It's here – on this unforgiving stretch of coastline – that something truly special is made. In growing our grapes where the vines meet the sea, each Devil's Corner Estate wine bears the mark of our home. Fruit was de-stemmed and fermented on skins in static fermenters using an air maceration technique that allows gentle extraction of colour and tannins, without overpowering the wine.

Vintage Conditions

The 2024 vintage in Tasmania delivered exceptional cool-climate conditions ideal for Pinot Noir production. The growing season was characterised by moderate temperatures and consistent maritime influence from the nearby ocean, allowing the fruit to develop concentrated flavours whilst maintaining the bright natural acidity essential to premium Tasmanian Pinot Noir. The extended ripening period enabled optimal phenolic development, resulting in wines with intense aromatics, vibrant fruit character, and elegant tannin structure. These favourable vintage conditions have produced a Pinot Noir of remarkable balance and ageing potential.
