2 Brothers Brewery — Victorian Craft Beer with Ambition

2 Brothers Brewery is one of Victoria's most creative and celebrated craft breweries — a brewery founded by two brothers with a genuine passion for the art of brewing and a restless desire to push the boundaries of what Australian craft beer can be. With a commitment to quality ingredients, innovative brewing techniques, and a willingness to experiment with styles and flavours that few other Australian breweries have dared to explore, 2 Brothers has built a devoted following among beer enthusiasts who appreciate craft, character, and the courage to do something genuinely different.

Philosophy & Approach

The 2 Brothers philosophy is simple but uncompromising: quality over quantity, always. Every batch of beer is carefully crafted with the finest ingredients, and the brewery's willingness to experiment — from barrel-aged barleywines with 20-year cellaring potential to rice lagers of extraordinary crispness and hazy IPAs of pillow-like softness — reflects a genuine curiosity and creative ambition that sets 2 Brothers apart from the crowd. The brewery draws on both traditional brewing techniques and contemporary craft beer innovation, producing a range that spans the full breadth of the beer world from approachable everyday lagers to rare, collectible barrel-aged specialties.

Our Range

2 Brothers The Guvnor Part 3 Rum Barleywine 375mL — 11% ABV — The crown jewel of the 2 Brothers range and one of the most extraordinary and collectible beers produced in Australia. The Guvnor is an annual barrel-aged barleywine series — now in its sixth release — that represents the absolute pinnacle of the 2 Brothers brewing programme. This expression has been aged in rum barrels from Jimmyrum Distillery in Dromana, Victoria — a local provenance that speaks to 2 Brothers' commitment to supporting and collaborating with the broader Victorian craft drinks community. Deep, dark coffee-muscat colour. A nose of sweet dried fruits and subtle rum. Flavours of dark chocolate, burnt caramel, butterscotch, spiced rum, toasted oak, and minimal sweet dark sugar on the palate. A beer of extraordinary depth and complexity that can be enjoyed now in all its rich, warming glory — or cellared for up to another 20 years to allow its extraordinary character to develop and evolve. A genuinely rare and collectible Australian craft beer.

2 Brothers Grizz Amber Ale 375mL — 5.7% ABV — A full-bodied amber ale of genuine character and hop intensity, brewed as a tribute to the iconic Mac N Jack's Amber — one of the most celebrated and beloved American craft amber ales. Brewed with fresh American hops from Washington State and hopped at over a pound of hops per barrel — an extraordinary hop rate that delivers the vibrant, fresh hop character that defines the best American-style amber ales. Rich amber colour with the characteristic caramel malt backbone of the style, balanced by the fresh, resinous hop character of Washington State hops. A beer of genuine craft and ambition.

2 Brothers Kung Foo Rice Lager 375mL — 4.6% ABV — A clean, crisp, and refreshing rice lager of genuine distinction — low in gluten, with a citrus punch from the rice blend and the clean, dry finish that makes a great lager so endlessly drinkable. Brewed with a blend of rice and traditional lager malts, the Kung Foo delivers the refreshing crispness and clean flavour that the style demands, with a subtle citrus character that lifts the finish and makes it the perfect companion for a hot day. Outstanding with Asian cuisine, fresh seafood, and the full range of warm-weather occasions.

2 Brothers Hazy IPA 375mL — 6% ABV — A must-try New England IPA of pillow-like mouthfeel, smooth flavours, and a refreshing finish. The Hazy IPA showcases the soft, juicy, and intensely aromatic character that defines the New England IPA style at its finest — a beer that is as approachable and immediately enjoyable as it is complex and rewarding. Outstanding with spicy food, grilled chicken, and the full range of casual dining occasions.

How to Enjoy 2 Brothers Beers

The Guvnor Rum Barleywine is best served at 10–12°C in a tulip or snifter glass that concentrates its extraordinary aromatic complexity — allow it to warm slightly in the glass to reveal its full depth of dark chocolate, caramel, and rum character. The Grizz Amber Ale is best at 6–8°C in a pint glass — outstanding with grilled meats, burgers, and aged cheddar. The Kung Foo Rice Lager is best served ice-cold at 2–4°C — a beer that rewards being as cold as possible. The Hazy IPA is best at 4–6°C in a tulip glass that showcases its soft, hazy appearance and tropical hop aromatics.
