Mr. Mick Rosé 2025 by Tim Adams Clare Valley Grenache Sangiovese is a characterful Australian rosé wine with lifted strawberry, raspberry and crisp acidity, perfect for Asian cuisine and spicy dishes.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

This 2025 vintage presents a delicate, pale salmon hue—lighter in colour than many rosés—yet vibrant and inviting in the glass. The wine's translucent clarity reflects its careful winemaking and minimal skin contact.

Aroma

The nose is expressive and lifted, revealing fresh strawberry, raspberry and cranberry alongside pink lady apple. Subtle hints of white peach and crunchy rhubarb add complexity, whilst the aromatic profile remains bright and approachable—a testament to fruit grown exclusively for rosé production at the Rogers vineyard in Clare Valley.

Palate

Delicate red berry flavours linger beautifully on the palate, supported by crisp Clare Valley acidity. The wine's dry style features just a touch of residual sugar to balance the natural fruit characters, leading to a cleansing, long finish that leaves you wanting another glass. At 11% alcohol in a 750 mL bottle, this Grenache Sangiovese blend offers refreshment without heaviness.

Pairs With

This versatile rosé can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or makes a superb accompaniment to Asian cuisine, particularly dishes with a little spice such as Thai salads, Vietnamese spring rolls, sushi and sashimi, or lightly spiced curries. It also complements grilled prawns, fresh oysters, and Mediterranean mezze platters beautifully.

Winemaking Notes

Unlike many other rosés, the fruit for this wine was grown at our Rogers vineyard with only the purpose of making rosé. Grenache and Sangiovese were harvested at the perfect maturity for rosé winemaking, crushed, chilled and pressed shortly after to minimise colour extraction whilst retaining the vibrant red berry flavours. The juices were cold settled and fermented separately at low temperatures for maximum fruit expression prior to careful blending, stabilisation, clarification and bottling. This dry wine has just a touch of residual sugar to support the natural fruit characters and balance the acidity.

Vintage Conditions

The 2025 vintage in Clare Valley delivered ideal conditions for rosé production, with moderate temperatures during the growing season allowing the Grenache and Sangiovese fruit to develop bright, expressive aromatics whilst maintaining the crisp natural acidity essential to the Mr. Mick style. Careful vineyard management at the Rogers site ensured the fruit was picked at optimal ripeness specifically for rosé winemaking, capturing the delicate red berry characters and refreshing palate that define this wine. The resulting vintage exemplifies the balance between fruit purity and structural elegance that Clare Valley rosé is renowned for.
