Collection: Moorilla Wines | Tasmania

Moorilla is one of Tasmania's longest-established wine estates, with a winemaking history beginning in 1958 when Italian émigré Claudio Alcorso planted vines on the property north of Hobart. Acquired by David Walsh in 1995, Moorilla today forms part of the wider Mona site while retaining its own distinctive identity as a Tasmanian wine producer.

Moorilla's wines are organised across three principal ranges — Muse, Praxis and Cloth Label — each exploring a different expression of the estate's vineyards and winemaking.

Muse takes its inspiration from classical European wine styles, producing structured and expressive Tasmanian wines with an emphasis on complexity, texture and the capacity to develop with age.

Praxis represents Moorilla's more contemporary and experimental side. These wines tend towards freshness, immediacy and fruit expression, providing an accessible introduction to Moorilla while still reflecting the producer's unconventional approach.

Cloth Label sits at the pinnacle of the Moorilla portfolio. Developed from selected vineyard parcels and conceived as an expression of Moorilla's terroir, the range represents the estate's most ambitious exploration of its vineyard sites.

Across the portfolio, Moorilla works with varieties particularly suited to Tasmania's cool climate, while continuing a long-term redevelopment of its vineyards and winery aimed at improving soil health, vine health and environmental performance.
