Dominique Portet brings ten generations of French winemaking heritage to the Yarra Valley. His father André was régisseur at Château Lafite-Rothschild; Dominique trained at Montpellier, worked across the Médoc, Rhône and Champagne, then arrived in Australia in 1976 — founding Taltarni and Clover Hill before establishing his eponymous Yarra Valley winery in 2000. Today his son Ben, a tenth-generation winemaker with experience at Château Beychevelle, Louis Roederer and M. Chapoutier in Hermitage, leads the winemaking.

The range is led by the Brut Rosé — a traditional method sparkling of genuine elegance — and the Fontaine Rosé, a still cool-climate rosé with fresh fruit and crisp acidity. Every bottle carries the arabesque label designed by Ilias Lalaounis, the celebrated Greek jeweller and the only jeweller admitted as an associate of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
