Collection: Dom Pérignon | Prestige Cuvée Champagne

Dom Pérignon — Prestige Cuvée Champagne

Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of Moët & Chandon and one of the most recognised Champagne labels in the world. Produced exclusively in exceptional vintage years — never in ordinary harvests — Dom Pérignon represents the house's highest expression of Champagne winemaking: a single vintage, a single blend, and a commitment to releasing only what meets the standard of the year.

Named after Dom Pierre Pérignon, the Benedictine monk who made significant contributions to Champagne production in the 17th century, the label has become synonymous with prestige, occasion and the pursuit of perfection in sparkling wine.

Why Dom Pérignon Matters

Dom Pérignon occupies a unique position in the Champagne world. Unlike non-vintage Champagne — which is blended across years to achieve consistency — Dom Pérignon is always a vintage wine, produced only when the harvest is exceptional. This means the wine is not made every year, and each release is a distinct expression of a specific growing season. The result is a Champagne of genuine individuality and collectability, with older vintages and extended-ageing Pléntitude releases commanding strong prices at auction.

The Range

Dom Pérignon Vintage — The core expression, released after a minimum of eight years of ageing on the lees. Each vintage is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards across Champagne, assembled to express the character of the year. Precise, complex and built for further development in the cellar.

Dom Pérignon Pléntitude 2 (P2) — The second life of Dom Pérignon, released after a minimum of twelve to fifteen years of ageing. Extended lees contact transforms the wine, adding depth, richness and evolved complexity that the standard vintage release does not yet possess. P2 is one of the most compelling expressions of aged Champagne available.

Limited Editions — Dom Pérignon periodically collaborates with artists and designers to produce limited edition releases. These bottles combine the quality of the standard vintage with distinctive packaging, making them sought after by collectors and gift buyers alike.

Winemaking & Terroir

Dom Pérignon is produced exclusively from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Champagne region of northeastern France. The chalky soils, cool climate and precise growing conditions of Champagne are fundamental to the wine's character — providing the natural acidity, mineral tension and fine effervescence that define the style. The Chef de Cave oversees the assemblage of each vintage, selecting and blending parcels from across the appellation to achieve the balance and harmony that defines Dom Pérignon.

Cellaring & Serving

Dom Pérignon Vintage is enjoyable on release but rewards patience. Most vintages develop additional complexity over ten to twenty years, and the finest years are capable of ageing for considerably longer. Pléntitude releases are already at an advanced stage of development and can be enjoyed sooner, though they will continue to evolve. Serve at 8–10°C in a tulip glass or white wine glass to appreciate the full aromatic complexity.

Food Pairing

Dom Pérignon pairs naturally with fine seafood, oysters, lobster, white meats and delicate dishes that complement rather than overwhelm the wine's precision and complexity. It is equally compelling as an aperitif for significant occasions.
