What’s that old adage? Beauty is in the mouth of the rosé drinker? Yes. That’s the one. And that’s certainly how we’d surmise this pretty little petal, the Temple Bruer Cinsault Shiraz Grenache Rosé 2017.You’ll be smelling watermelon ice blocks, tasting hints of chic French lemon tart, and feeling, well, absolutely besotted with this delightfully dry rosé. Good with a laksa, even better with a lover. Temple Bruer Rosé 2017 is made using a blend of Cinsault, Shiraz & Grenache, and it is pink into light red in colour. With fresh cherry, watermelon and citrus aromas abound.Cherry, cut pineapple and chalk like texture towards the finish. Would pair with a sweet chilli vegetable burger beautifully.

Winery & Vintage Info

The fruit for this wine was grown in Temple Bruer’s certified organic vineyard in Langhorne Creek and the Riverland regions of Spouth Australia. The vineyards are over 20 years old and provide the ecclectic blend that makes up this delightfully fresh Rosé. In all of our vineyards we work towards improving the health of the vines and the soil to achieve outstanding fruit quality with the added benefit of caring for our environment.

Consisting of Cinsault, Grenache and Shiraz, picking commenced towards the end of of February. Each parcel of fruit was kept seperate and berries were crushed and pressed off skin immediately, the juice was then cold settled and racked before fermentation commenced. The final blend was assembled from the various component to create this stunning wine . No sulphur dioxide has been added to this wine at any point during winemaking or bottling.

Reviews & Accolades

"This is really about a reinvention of TB’s previous offering under this style. Cinsault has a lot of colour in it, “it was just crushed and pressed, and the darker red colour came immediately”, says new winemaker for TB, Kate Wall, previously of Petaluma fame. The shiraz and grenache add layers of flavour, some weight and additional perfume.

Strawberry shortcake, watermelon juice, mixed peel, rose water scents. Soft, light, gently sweet rose of easy charm and great freshness. Smudge of savouriness to finish, walnut husks, clay and hay and the like, but a good chill will tighten up the wine. Acidity is suitably perky for easy drinking and vitality factor."
