The 2019 Mount Langi Ghiran Mast Shiraz is a classic cool climate season that was 2019 has resulted in concentration of red fruit flavours: black cherry and blackberry with an earthy savouriness underpinned by mixed spice.
"At half mast of full Mast, we got a great cooler climate shiraz here. Such an evocative stink in the glass. So much pepper, dark, plummy fruit, black olives, fennel. Yum. Right on. Regional. True. That scent is addictive. Inky texture, even and long, supple, very dark fruited, dark chocolate, turned earth and undergrowth savouriness. Delightful in all that. Mount Langi Ghiran's tribute to one of the most revered pioneers of cool climate Shiraz, the late Trevor Mast. The best fruit outside of the wineries Old Block is selected with House Block 4 continuing to show its pedigree, being one of the coolest blocks of the vineyard and fittingly one of Trevor’s favourites.
