Four Roses Bourbon Whiskey is a crisp, soft, and smooth Kentucky Straight Bourbon of fruit, floral essences, gentle spice, and honey on the nose — fresh fruit, hints of pear and apple on the palate, and a mellow, long, and pleasant finish. Named for a corsage of four red roses worn to a grand ball, and crafted ever since with the same devout passion that inspired the name.

Appearance

Warm amber with golden highlights — the inviting, approachable colour of a Kentucky Straight Bourbon of genuine softness and the elegant character that Four Roses has delivered for generations.

Aroma

Fruit and floral essences with gentle spice and honey — an elegant, inviting bouquet of genuine complexity and the soft, approachable character that makes Four Roses one of the most distinctive and beloved bourbons in the world.

Palate

Crisp, soft, and smooth — fresh fruit with hints of pear and apple, carried on a gentle, well-balanced body to a mellow, long, and pleasant finish. A bourbon of genuine elegance and the kind of approachable complexity that rewards every sip.

Serving Suggestion

Neat or over a single large ice cube to let the fruit, floral, and gentle spice character speak for themselves — or in a classic Whiskey Sour or Old Fashioned where the soft, smooth character of Four Roses is the perfect foundation.

Producer History

It began when Paul Jones Jr., the founder of Four Roses Bourbon, became besotted by the beauty of a Southern belle. He sent her a proposal, and she replied that if her answer were yes, she would wear a corsage of roses on her gown to the upcoming grand ball. Paul Jones waited with trepidation on the night of the ball. As she arrived in her beautiful gown, she wore a corsage of four red roses. He later named his bourbon Four Roses as a symbol of his devout passion for the lovely belle — a passion he thereafter transferred entirely to making his beloved Four Roses Bourbon. The name has carried that devotion ever since.
