Complex and evolving — toffee, orange peel, herbs, honey, leather, and oak on the nose, with gentle grain and toasted honey-wheat bread giving way to ripe banana, charcoal, lanolin, almond butter, and melon with aeration. A somewhat restrained but deeply powerful aromatic profile with lots of character lying just beneath the surface.
Palate
Bold and oily — dry flavours of cereal grain and mild oak resin at entry, exploding mid-palate into unabashedly sweet and oily flavours of black raisins, grapefruit, charred oak, and candied almonds with very rich cocoa.
