The year is 2021. We were in the Riverland and we stumbled upon a plot of Gewürztraminer that wasn’t spoken for yet — so we picked it. Fast forward 5 years of refining, adding, subtracting, and drinking, and this is the result: Doom Juice Weiss, a Gewürztraminer and Vermentino from the Riverland that is floral, zippy, and made for sitting in the sun with a cold bottle and nowhere to be.

Appearance

Pale straw with the kind of natural clarity you get from a wild fermented, unfined, unfiltered white that has been left completely alone to do its thing — bright, fresh, and ready for sunshine.

Aroma

Fresh apple, banana, citrus, and minerality — floral and zippy, with the aromatic lift that Gewürztraminer delivers and the freshness that Vermentino adds. Five years of refinement in every sniff.

Palate

Floral and zippy — fresh apple and citrus with a mineral edge and the kind of easy, sun-drenched drinkability that Doom Juice does best. Wild fermented, unfined, unfiltered, and minimal sulphur. Exactly as nature and four years of drinking intended.
