Winery & Vintage Info
Dom Pérignon produce vintage champagne only. Each vintage is a creation, singular and unique, that expresses both the character of the year, and the character of Dom Pérignon.
After at least eight years of elaboration in the cellars, the wine embodies the perfect balance of Dom Pérignon, the Plénitude of harmony.
For Dom Pérignon, assemblage is paramount in the champagne elaboration process. Starting with the vine itself, this is the creative gesture that draws on contrasts and paradoxes, contradictions and synergies through intuitive and inventive research to reveal the true nature of each vintage.
The 2015 wine growing year was marked by striking contrasts in climate, starting with a particularly cold spring, followed by a prolonged period of hot, dry weather that lasted until the end of August. When the harvest began on 7 September, in brilliant sunshine, the vines were impeccably healthy, revealing the exceptional generosity and balance of the grapes. This vintage aromatic wine promises a remarkable aromatic richness, capturing the unique essence of the year.
Born of a year of exceptional contrasts, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 stands out with its soothing strength and striking tactile presence during tasting. Initially dark and enigmatic, this vintage wine reveals a texture that leaves an incomparable impression, offering a unique sensory experience.
The structure of Dom Pérignon 2015 feels horizontal, broad and straight, reflecting the wine’s luminous austerity. Each mouthful covers the palate, making an impression with clear, clean flavours, drawn in straight lines rather than curves. This structured concept is Dom Pérignon’s authentic signature, in which the sense of touch becomes fundamental. Without this tactile dimension, the flavour of the wine could not fully unfold in the space and time of its tasting, mirroring the space and time of its production.
The emotion elicited by Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 oscillates between stimulating and calming. The subtle bitterness acts as a stimulant that captures the attention, while the wine’s generosity unfurls a long vibration and structured texture with a soothing effect, gradually opening out towards the horizon. This vintage is a perfect example of Dom Pérignon’s ability to capture and enhance the essence of the ingredients with which it is served, promising a memorable tasting with an inspiring intensity and finesse.
