Divici Prosecco DOC Extra Dry is an organically grown Glera from the hills around Treviso in northern Italy — crafted by winemaker Marzio Pol, a graduate of the prestigious Wine School of Conegliano with over 22 years of sparkling wine expertise. Pale yellow with very fine bubbles; ripe peach, crisp green apple, and lemon on the nose with acacia, rose, and a nuanced light spicy Mediterranean character; fresh and soft on the palate with well-balanced acidity and a smooth, elegant finish. A wine that fuses ancient Roman tradition with modern Italian style — its name derived from Roman numerals, its grape variety beloved by Livia Drusilla, wife of Augustus.

Appearance

Pale yellow with very fine, persistent bubbles — the delicate, luminous colour of an organically grown Glera from the Treviso DOC hills, with the clarity and precision that cold decanting, controlled fermentation, and careful cold stabilisation at -2/-3°C deliver.

Aroma

Ripe peach and crisp green apple complemented by subtle lemon undertones, enriched with acacia and rose floral notes — a nuanced, light spicy Mediterranean character adding depth to a delicate, complex bouquet that expertly balances fruity and floral elements.

Palate

Fresh and soft — well-balanced acidity enhancing crispness while maintaining a smooth, elegant finish. The refined, vibrant expression of an organically grown Treviso Prosecco DOC crafted with considered precision by one of the region’s most experienced sparkling wine specialists.

Pairs With

Antipasto, light seafood, fresh salads, soft cheeses, and canapés — or simply as the perfect apéritif for any occasion. The fresh acidity, fine bubbles, and elegant finish make Divici Prosecco a natural and deeply enjoyable partner for light dishes of every kind. Serve well chilled.

Winemaking Notes

Grapes carefully selected from organically grown Glera vineyards in the Treviso area of origin. Softly pressed must stored in stainless steel tanks for static cold decanting. Primary fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled constant temperature of 18°C, completed in 8–10 days. After settling, the winemaker carefully blends to achieve the Prosecco Spumante base cuvée. Secondary fermentation by the Martinotti-Charmat method at a controlled temperature of 14–15°C. Once the required pressure, alcohol, and sugar levels are reached, the wine is refrigerated and cold stabilised at -2/-3°C, filtered, and bottled. Winemaker: Marzio Pol, Agricultural Expert Specialist in Viticulture and Oenology, Wine School of Conegliano (Treviso), 1976.

Producer History

The name DIVICI is derived from Roman numerals — a nod to the classic antique inscriptions found on monuments and plaques on the streets of Italy, and a statement of intent: ancient Roman tradition fused with modern Italian style. The Glera grape itself has roots stretching back to antiquity — planted in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, it was one of the most well known and appreciated grape varieties of the Roman era, counted among the favourites of Livia Drusilla, wife of the Emperor Augustus. Winemaker Marzio Pol brings over 22 years of sparkling and still wine consultancy experience to Divici, graduating from the prestigious Wine School of Conegliano in 1976 after a six-year course. Organically grown, precisely crafted, and unmistakably Italian — a wine that carries two thousand years of history in every fine bubble.
