Appearance

The Devil's Corner Pinot Grigio 2024 presents a bright, pale straw hue with brilliant clarity—a visual testament to this lively and youthful expression from two of Australia's premier cool-climate wine regions.

Aroma

Fragrant aromas are highlighted by notes of pears and tropical fruit, complemented by a subtle herbal undertone. The aromatic profile showcases the distinctive character of fruit sourced from both King Valley and Tasmania, creating an inviting and complex bouquet.

Palate

On the palate, the wine showcases a rich weight and intensity, bursting with flavours of ripe yellow pears and apples, with hints of spice and savoury notes. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a perfect balance of acidity that makes this Pinot Grigio exceptionally food-friendly. Best enjoyed whilst young and fresh to capture its vibrant fruit character.

Pairs With

Winemaking Notes

The fruit was harvested and loaded directly to the press with initial oxidative handling to achieve a vibrant white wine colour and avoid any pink hues. It was then racked and fermented in tank under protective conditions and cool temperature to preserve aromatic qualities. There was also a short period of partial lees contact and stirring in tank to aid in mouthfeel and complexity.

Vintage Conditions

The Pinot Grigio grapes for this wine were sourced from two distinct regions, Tasmania and the King Valley. This dual-region approach captures the best characteristics of both cool-climate areas: Tasmania's maritime influence delivers bright acidity and mineral precision, whilst the King Valley contributes generous fruit weight and aromatic intensity. The 2024 vintage provided ideal growing conditions across both regions, with moderate temperatures during the ripening period allowing the fruit to develop complex flavours whilst maintaining the refreshing acidity that defines premium Australian Pinot Grigio.
