De Bortoli The Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023 (Yarra Valley)

The De Bortoli Yarra Valley vineyards were first planted in 1971 and through careful expansion and thoughtful replanting, we have introduced new planting stock that have improved brightness, perfume and charm. This is the second vintage to have included these new vineyards.

Low cropping cool and mild growing season, picked in early March. Bright colours, amazing perfume and charm.

Fruit is harvested and sorted. Each small parcel is fermented separately, some with whole bunch inclusion. 15-18 days of maceration and fermentation with wild yeast. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to barrel by gravity. Allowed to mature for 6 months in new and used 225L and 500L French casks.
