A generous Barossa Valley Shiraz from the 2022 vintage, sourced from Greenock in the northern Barossa. This cleanskin offers the full expression of warm-climate Shiraz character — deep, dark-fruited and richly textured — at an accessible price point. 2022 is widely regarded as an outstanding vintage across Barossa Valley, delivering concentrated fruit and excellent structure.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep red and purple, with excellent depth and intensity.
Nose: Fragrant dark berries and warm spices, with a generosity typical of Greenock fruit.
Palate: Rich and generous, framed by silken tannins and a plush, rounded texture. Full-bodied with excellent fruit weight and well-integrated oak character.
Finish: Long and lingering, with warmth and persistence.
Winemaking
Fruit was hand-picked and fermented in separate parcels to preserve individual site character. Fermentation took place in open slate fermenters over 6–7 days. Ten per cent of the wine was fermented in new French oak hogsheads, with the balance in seasoned French and American oak hogsheads, delivering a wine of genuine complexity and depth without oak dominance.
