Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby red with youthful crimson tints.
Nose: Fresh blood plum, blackcurrant and blackberry, layered with sweet spice, earthy notes and a light oak influence.
Palate: Rich and mouth-filling, with redcurrant, spiced plum and Rutherglen earthiness. Subtle French oak adds complexity without overwhelming the generous fruit.
Finish: Smooth and seamless, with fine tannins providing structure and persistence.
Winemaking
Shiraz was sourced from Campbells' Bobbie Burns and Silverburn vineyards in Rutherglen. Following seven to ten days of fermentation on skins in open and closed fermenters, the wine matured for 18 months in premium French and American oak barrels ranging from new to three years old before final blending.
