Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin is one of the world’s most recognised spirits — instantly identifiable by its iconic blue bottle and celebrated for a botanical blend that is as distinctive as it is delicious. Ten hand-selected botanicals from exotic locations around the world, each chosen for the unique character it brings to the spirit, are uniquely distilled to create a gin that is smooth, complex, and endlessly versatile. From the heat of Moroccan cubeb berries to the spice of West African Grains of Paradise, every precious botanical contributes something irreplaceable to the finished gin.

Appearance

Crystal clear with the luminous clarity of a well-crafted London Dry Gin — as striking in the glass as the iconic blue bottle it comes from.

Aroma

Fragrant and inviting — juniper leads, with coriander, lemon peel, and the exotic warmth of the wider botanical blend adding layers of complexity and lift. Tantalising and immediately recognisable.

Palate

Smooth and balanced, with the ten botanicals working in perfect harmony to deliver a gin of genuine complexity without ever losing its approachability. Clean, precise, and satisfying from first sip to last.

Serving Suggestions

The definitive Gin and Tonic — serve over ice with premium tonic and a wedge of lemon or lime. Equally exceptional in a classic Martini, Negroni, or any cocktail that calls for a smooth, well-balanced London Dry Gin.

Production Notes

Bombay Sapphire is produced using a unique vapour infusion distillation process — rather than steeping the botanicals directly in the spirit, they are held in copper baskets through which the vapour passes during distillation. This gentler method extracts the delicate flavours and aromas of each botanical without the harshness that direct immersion can produce, resulting in the smooth, complex, and tantalising character that has made Bombay Sapphire one of the world’s best-selling premium gins.

Producer History

The Bombay Sapphire story begins with the original Bombay Dry Gin recipe, created in 1761 and later revived and reimagined by Allan Subin in 1987 as Bombay Sapphire — a gin that would go on to redefine the premium gin category globally. Named in homage to the sapphire trade that flourished during the reign of Queen Victoria, and featuring her portrait on every bottle, Bombay Sapphire was among the first gins to position itself as a luxury spirit worthy of the finest cocktail bars in the world. Today it is produced at the award-winning Laverstoke Mill distillery in Hampshire, England — a beautifully restored historic paper mill that has been transformed into one of the most celebrated gin distilleries in the world, complete with two glasshouses designed by Thomas Heatherwick that showcase the living botanicals at the heart of every bottle.
