Collection: Henty | Cool Climate Wine Region, Victoria

Henty is Victoria's coolest mainland wine region, located in the state's far southwest. Renowned for Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and premium sparkling wine, the region's cool maritime climate and volcanic soils produce elegant wines with exceptional freshness, acidity and ageing potential.

Cool maritime climate with strong Southern Ocean influence. Wet winters, mild summers and long, cool autumns promote slow ripening and excellent acid retention. Soils are volcanic basalt-derived loams, red clay loams and free-draining gravelly soils at 50300 metres elevation. Harvest runs March to May — among the latest on mainland Australia. Subregions include Drumborg, Heywood, Hamilton and Tarrington.
