Clonakilla is a family wine estate in Murrumbateman, established in 1971 by Dr John Kirk and developed by his son Tim Kirk into one of Australia's most closely watched small producers. The estate's vineyards sit at approximately 600 metres above sea level on red clay loam over granite in the Canberra District — a continental climate of pronounced diurnal variation that produces Shiraz of medium body, deep perfume, and structural elegance.

The flagship Shiraz Viognier is co-fermented with approximately 6% Viognier, a technique adapted from the northern Rhône estates of Côte-Rôtie. The 2023 vintage was awarded 96 points by Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, with a drinking window to 2040 and beyond. The O'Riada Shiraz offers an approachable expression of the regional style. The range also includes estate Riesling and the Hilltops Shiraz, sourced from the cool-climate Hilltops region of New South Wales.
