The 2022 Zonzo Estate Scoperta Sangiovese has soft aromas of spiced red fruits and plums with dark chocolate and very subtle orange. Firm and fine savoury tannin match well with black cherry and berries on the palate giving this wine its overall savoury profile. Classic Sangiovese fresh acidity is balanced beautifully for a bright and clean finish.

Made in smaller batches using Italian varieties atypical of YV, this newest range was started as a way to find varieties more sustainable for our changing YV climate while also creating some truly unique wines.

Best paired to open minds and any cuisine, Scoperta is a conversation starter. A great choice for those looking for something different.

Sourced from Heathcote and harvested on the 15th March 2022. Machine picked. Fully de-stemmed and fermented in large format oak fermenters and stainless steel. Over approximately two weeks the ferments were managed by pump overs, rack and returns and working the skins with feet. Pressed on day 15 and put into older oak.
