The fruit for Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2018 is from a combination of Upper Yarra Valley fruit and some experimental blocks off Hoddles.

"Mainly Upper Yarra Pinot Noir, with a bit from Kangaroo Ground.

Raspberry, spice, a lovely gently herbal and floral perfume. Medium-bodied, orange peel and amaro flavours in with firm silty tannin, tang and depth to the fruit, and a particularly firm and long finish that shows a rare stamp of class at this price point. Whether you prefer the Gippsland or the Yarra is largely a matter of taste: it’s well worth having both in your weekday wine armoury, regardless."
