Winemaking Notes

To create this wine, the fruit of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is used. After soft pressing, the must rests in stainless steel tanks where fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature. The controlled fermentation preserves the delicate colour and fresh fruit aromatics characteristic of premium Montepulciano d'Abruzzo rosé. The post-fermentation ageing lasts about 6 months, the period in which the rosé wine matures and develops its perfectly balanced flavour profile. Subsequently, the wine is packaged for ageing in the bottle until final consumption. This careful winemaking approach focuses on creating a delicate and refreshing style with excellent structure, resulting in a rosé that will enhance any meal or occasion.

Vintage Conditions

The 2022 vintage in Terre di Chieti, Abruzzo, provided excellent conditions for Montepulciano d'Abruzzo rosé production. The region's Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights creates ideal conditions for developing fresh red fruit characters whilst maintaining natural acidity. The Terre di Chieti area benefits from diverse soils and favourable climate that allow the finest Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes to ripen evenly, developing concentrated flavours and delicate aromatics. The combination of favourable vintage conditions, premium fruit selection and expert winemaking with controlled fermentation and 6-month ageing results in a rosé with delicate pale pink colour, perfectly balanced flavour profile and refreshing character that showcases the quality of Abruzzo's distinctive rosé production.
