Mystery Wine Shiraz Cabernet 2020 (Barossa Valley)

60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from selected vineyards. Harvested in February and March 2020 and each batch was fermented separately on skins for 7 days in open fermenters. After pressing, the wines were settled in tank before racking to oak to mature for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak. After maturation, the batches were selected to best reflect the true characters of each variety.

Much like the previous vintage, the 2020 harvest has produced wines of immense quality but with very low quantities. Another dry winter and mild weather during the ripening period lead to great varietal flavours and excellent tannin structure. Upon harvest the bunches were few and far between and the berries themselves small. This led to fruit with intense flavour and colour along with great power and balance.
