Winemaking Notes

Grapes are de-stemmed and crushed immediately after harvest, with the must conveyed directly into small stainless steel fermentation vessels. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures for approximately two weeks, preserving the fruit’s vibrant character and aromatic intensity. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for approximately 15 months, allowing the flavours to integrate whilst maintaining the fresh, fruit-forward profile and smooth tannin structure that define this expression.

Vintage Conditions

The 2024 vintage in Abruzzo presented ideal growing conditions for Montepulciano — warm, sunny days and cool nights allowing the grapes to achieve optimal ripeness whilst retaining natural acidity, with moderate rainfall during the growing season ensuring healthy vine development and dry conditions at harvest enabling the grapes to be picked at peak maturity. The result is a vintage of concentrated fruit flavours, balanced structure, and excellent character — one of the finest recent expressions of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.
