Components of the 2020 Tim Adams Shiraz blend were separately fermented on skins to dryness before pressing, with only selected softer pressings returned to the wine. The individual batches spent 24 months in a combination of two and three year old American oak barrels. A further time in stainless steel tanks allowed for softening of oak tannin before blending, fining and bottling.

The growing season leading in to the 2020 vintage was warm and dry with little rainfall. Yields were low and berries small. As a result, the Shiraz shows a real concentration of vibrant colour, complex flavour and robust tannin structure.
