The Lane Vineyard Adelaide Hills 'Lois' Sparkling Brut Rosé is a pale salmon, with rose gold hues. Aromas of fresh picked summer strawberries and pomegranate. Absolute elegance. The palate is like a summer pudding, creamy fine mousse, with crisp lingering pink lady finish.

"Lois has gone pink for the first time in this pretty new rose. This is the rose to drink when you don't want to be seen drinking rose, because the hue is but the faintest blush salmon. Red apple, strawberry and lemon fruit of refreshingly elegant appeal is touched with rose petal nuances and subtle nutty complexity, thanks both to lees age and 50% maturation in large oak puncheons and foudres. Beautifully poised and graceful, this is the new Adelaide Hills sparkling worth discovering this year."

Winery & Vintage Info

The Lane Vineyard Block Series show true varietal character and the influence of the terroir of The Lane Vineyard. Block numbers indicate the patch within the vineyard where the fruit is grown, as do the "Google Earth" coordinates on each label. Minimum intervention winemaking allows the vineyard to do the talking. The Block Series are stylish, fresh, fruit driven wines with a true sense of place.

The Lane Vineyard Adelaide Hills 'Lois' Sparkling Brut Rosé is a blend of three clones of Chardonnay - all shoot thinned early in the season to enhance vine balance, even ripening and focus flavour concentration, and Pinot Noir 114, 115 and MV6 across four blocks.

Cool south facing sites provide fresh acidity through moderate growing conditions.

Ancient soils, mostly gravel with limestone/calcium silicates and ferrous pebbles spread throughout. Winery Notes
