The 2020 release of 'Over The Shoulder' Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley's Oakridge is a bright, deep garnet with a light purple hue. The aromas are beautiful, fragrant and forward with red fruit – red currants, raspberry and cherry. Under, there are suggestions of milky-vanilla oak, and brown spice from whole bunch inclusion. The palate is soft, juicy and round with fine, velvety tannins from start to finish. The crunchy cranberry acidity adds length and refreshment. Fruit forward, balanced, but certainly not simple.

Situated in Australia's Yarra Valley, Oakridge has been producing wine since 1978. Over The Shoulder wines are a regional selection that showcase the diverse range of table wines that the Yarra Valley is capable of producing.

2020 Over The Shoulder Pinot Noir fruit was sourced from vineyards in Woori Yallock (Lusatia), Coldstream (Oakridge) and Gladysdale (Willowlake).

Handpicked fruit was gently de-stemmed for whole berry fermentation for 3 weeks in open top fermenters prior to pressing into French oak barrels for maturation, before blending and bottling. Winery Notes
