It’s the most wonderful time of the year, the award-winning LARK Christmas Cask is back. A Merry Single Malt Whisky imparted with the essence of Tasmanian pâtisserie Jean Pascal’s fruit mince pie and Frogmore Creek’s red wine barrels, a delightfully warm and luscious festive drop.
Our 2023 limited edition Christmas Cask, is beautifully wrapped and ready for a rich Christmas glaze, celebratory cocktails, or savour it with family after the big festive lunch. Perfect on the table or under the tree, this whisky is the gift for someone wanting a bottle of something special.
This year’s anticipated release has had a double finish, imparting twice the fruit mince pie flavour into the release. The Christmas Cask exudes a merry aroma of caramelized orange, nutmeg, and dried fruits. Its palate delights with rich toffee, marzipan, and fresh gingerbread, culminating in a heartwarming and buttery finish.
Our single malt whisky is maturated within singular Christmas casks. Frogmore Creek's red wine barrels are infused with the quintessential essence of the preceding season fruit mince pies. This imbued essence is thoughtfully reintegrated into the fruit mince pie production for the ensuing year. Over the course of time, the stratified nuances of fruit mince pie flavours progressively evolve, culminating in a distinctive and perpetually transforming intensity with each successive year.
This year's iteration of the Christmas Cask underwent a dual finishing treatment, meticulously designed to encapsulate an even richer manifestation of the fruit jus character in comparison to prior years. - Distillery Notes
