This delightful sparkling wine, La Gioiosa Prosecco DOC, is made in the region of Veneto in north eastern Italy and certainly lives up to its name of being joyous. La Gioiosa represents the tradition of wine making, which the Moreti Polegato family have been carrying out for three generations. It’s a premium winery that produces exceptional quality wines with the family continuing the tradition of a well thought out and actioned process.
Prosecco is an Italian wine controlled by DOC or DOCG. Under these wine laws, Prosecco can be spumante (sparkling wine), frizzante (semi sparkling wine), or tranquillo (still wine). It is made from Glera grapes, also another name for prosecco, but a small percentage of other authorised grape varieties may be included. Most Prosecco is non vintage - which means it doesn't come with a year of production on the label.
