Grandin Méthode Traditionnelle Brut NV is a Loire Valley sparkling wine crafted by the same method used in Champagne — produced exclusively by Méthode Traditionnelle since 1886, faithful to the work of founder Henri Grandin. Golden with brilliant reflections; subtle nuances of dried fruit with notes of citrus, honeysuckle, and lime blossom; and a soft, fresh finish typical of the Grandin House style. Delicately fruity, consistently elegant, and exceptional value from one of the Loire Valley’s most dedicated sparkling wine producers.

Appearance

Golden with brilliant reflections and a fine, persistent bead — the luminous colour of a Loire Valley sparkling wine crafted by Méthode Traditionnelle and aged on lees for a minimum of nine months at low temperature to develop subtlety and finesse.

Aroma

Subtle nuances of dried fruit with notes of citrus — lemon and grapefruit — honeysuckle, and lime blossom. Fresh, delicately fruity, and immediately inviting, with the refined aromatic character that rigorous grape selection and slow secondary fermentation at low temperature deliver.

Palate

Soft and fresh with a clean, delicately fruity character — the soft finish typical of the Grandin House style, with the balance and sweetness that a carefully judged dosage brings. Subtle, refined, and effortlessly drinkable.

Pairs With

Fresh seafood, oysters, soft cheeses, light canapés, and delicate poultry dishes — or simply as a fresh and approachable apéritif for any occasion. Serve well chilled.

Winemaking Notes

Base wines are selected from a range of grape varieties — Ugni Blanc, Chardonnay, Colombard, Chenin, Airen, and Macabeu — blended in variable proportions depending on vintage characteristics to achieve the desired Grandin style: fresh, delicately fruity, and consistently elegant. After the first fermentation, the base wines are assembled and undergo a second, slow fermentation at low temperature for a minimum of nine months, developing the subtlety and finesse that define the House. After riddling and disgorgement, the dosage is added — the final touch that brings sweetness and balance to the finished wine.

Producer History

Grandin has produced sparkling wine in the Loire Valley since 1886 — exclusively by Méthode Traditionnelle, the same method used in Champagne, requiring rigorous grape selection and constant dedication to quality. Faithful to the work of founder Henri Grandin and the traditions he established, the House has remained committed to a single style for nearly 140 years: fresh sparkling wines, delicately fruity, crafted with care and offered at a reasonable price. The Loire Valley is home to some of the world’s finest sparkling wines — and Grandin has been proving it since 1886.
