Domaine Laroche Chardonnay 2024 is the expression of Burgundian know-how in the heart of Languedoc — sourced from cool, high-altitude terroirs in the Orb Valley, Limoux, and the north of Gard, near Mas La Chevalère at Béziers, where limestone soils and cool climates allow Chardonnay to express itself with precision, elegance, and freshness. Aged in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation to preserve its freshness and liveliness. Fresh and elegant, with notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruits — apple and pear.

Appearance

Bright pale gold with green hues — the fresh, inviting colour of a cool climate, high-altitude Languedoc Chardonnay crafted without malolactic fermentation, with the liveliness and precision that stainless steel ageing and Burgundian exacting standards deliver.

Aroma

Fresh and elegant — notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruits, predominantly apple and pear, with the purity and precision that cool, high-altitude terroirs in the Orb Valley and Limoux consistently produce. The Chablis heritage of Laroche in every breath.

Palate

Fresh, taut, and precise — the citrus and apple-pear fruit character carrying through with lively acidity and the clean, elegant finish that stainless steel ageing without malolactic fermentation preserves in full. A Chardonnay of genuine freshness and Burgundian refinement from the South of France.

Pairs With

Fresh seafood, oysters, grilled fish, soft cheeses, or simply by the glass as an aperitif — the fresh acidity, citrus character, and elegant precision make this a versatile and refined partner for any occasion that calls for a beautifully crafted white wine.

Producer History

Laroche is a story of boldness. Founded in Chablis, where the house built its reputation on the precise, mineral, and elegant expression of Chardonnay, Laroche made a strong strategic choice in the 1990s: to establish itself in the South of France, in the heart of Languedoc, with Mas La Chevalère near Béziers. The region offers a diversity of unique terroirs and climates — high-altitude vineyards with cool climates and limestone soils that allow Chardonnay to express itself with the same precision, elegance, and freshness that has defined Laroche in Chablis for decades. Two expressions of Chardonnay stand out from the Languedoc range: the Laroche Chardonnay, fresh and fruity, and the Réserve Chardonnay, more structured and complex. Both are crafted with the Burgundian know-how and exacting standards that are the house’s defining inheritance — Chablis expertise, Languedoc terroir, and the boldness to bring them together.
