De Bortoli Bella Riva King Valley Sangiovese 2022

De Bortoli's Bella Riva King Valley Sangiovese fruit is sourced from the Rathjen Vineyard. Two of the best clones of Sangiovese are used to make this wine. Both blocks require timely crop thinning to ensure flavour and colour development.

Fruit is picked and fermented in closed and open vats for ~10 days. Careful extraction of colour and tannin using turnovers and plunging. The wine is then pressed, settled and matured in used large French oak casks for 3 months. Lots of air at all stages of maturation.
