Celebrating 52 years of the Bobbie Burns Shiraz, the 2021 vintage is a dense ruby red, crimson tints. Showcases a range of dark fruit, with plums, blackcurrant and black berries complexed with star anise, dark chocolate and a light oak background. A youthful rich wine with blackberries, spiced plums, earthiness and a hint of liquorice. Smooth and seamless, with subtle French oak and powdery tannins to finish.

John Campbell planted his first vines on the original Bobbie Burns Vineyard in 1870 and proclaimed “Great wine begins on the vine”. The Campbells Bobbie Burns Shiraz is the epitome of what the Campbell family strives to achieve and garners awards and accolades consistently.

A wet winter and mild summer with regular rainfall through the growing season allowed a gradual build up of ripe flavours to produce an elegant wine with great fruit depth and balance.

After fermentation on skins for seven to ten days using open and closed fermenters, this wine was subsequently aged for a period of 18 months in a mixture of new to three year old premium French and American barrels.
