Appearance
Luminous straw — the bright, inviting colour of a Chardonnay of genuine freshness and the clarity that night harvesting and careful vinification deliver.
Aroma
Nectarine and acacia lead an inviting and rich bouquet — the fruity Mediterranean character of southern French Chardonnay complemented by the freshness and complex terroir expression of Chardonnay from its native region.
Palate
Refined, smooth, and harmonious — exotic fruit flavours with genuine finesse and a prolonged, satisfying finish. Four months on fine lees, a quarter under wood for subtle structure and three quarters in stainless steel to preserve the fruit and freshness of the grape — a winemaking approach that delivers complexity without weight.
Pairs With
Grilled fish, pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken, soft cheeses, and light pasta dishes. A refined, harmonious Chardonnay of this accessibility and finesse is as comfortable at a casual dinner as it is at a more considered table.

Winemaking Notes
Grapes harvested during the cool hours of the night to preserve the typical freshness of Chardonnay. Each plot vinified separately to respect its true nature and achieve a finer, purer wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for four months on fine lees — one quarter under wood for subtle structure, three quarters in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit and freshness of the grape. Chardonnay sourced from the south and west of France, with grapes from Chardonnay’s native soil adding freshness and terroir complexity.
Vintage Conditions
The 2024 vintage in the south of France presented contrasting and challenging conditions — a mild winter followed by spring frosts, then significant rainfall until the beginning of summer that favoured the development of diseases, particularly mildew, with a direct impact on vine health. Yields were lower than expected, reduced further by the persistent drought of recent years that had weakened the vines. Harvest began at the end of August and extended into September, with heterogeneous results across sectors due to climatic and health disparities. The result is a vintage of lower yields and concentrated character — a wine shaped by the challenges of its year.
Producer History
Bouchard Aîné & Fils has perpetuated a tradition of quality, elegance, and prestige in selecting and making fine wines that marvellously express the richness of French terroirs across generations. The Héritage du Conseiller pays tribute to Paul Bouchard (1814–1898), the fifth generation of the family and the man who gave the House its international destiny. Known as the Grand Conseiller, Paul was both politician and visionary — Mayor, Sub-prefect, and Departmental Counsellor of Côte d’Or — who played a major role in the technical and commercial development of Bouchard Aîné & Fils, founded the Viticultural School of Beaune, and whose qualitative approach based on the art of blending has remained fundamental to the House ever since.
