Yangarra
About
Yangarra Estate is devoted to producing wines from a single-vineyard estate that reflect an authentic sense of place through biodynamic regenerative farming practices and sensitive winemaking philosophies. The 170-hectare property in McLaren Vale features nearly 90 hectares planted to vine, with the remaining 80 hectares preserved for native vegetation and wildlife, enhancing the symbiotic relationship between the vines and their natural environment. Yangarra's rare combination of unique geologies, moderate altitude, abundant sunshine and cool evening breezes creates the perfect terroir for growing varieties that thrive in moderate maritime Mediterranean environments. Specialising in the best grape varieties of the southern Rhône, old bush vine Grenache serves as the cornerstone variety, complemented by traditional grapes like Shiraz and Roussanne alongside more obscure varieties such as Bourboulenc, Picpoul Noir, Clairette Blanc and Counoise. Every Yangarra Estate wine is a confident reflection of this special piece of country, with respect for the land evident in each bottle.
