When Dr Peter McMahon planted the first vines at Seville Estate in 1972, it marked the rebirth of the Yarra Valley as a premium wine region and has been the vanguard of the modern Yarra Valley wine movement. Today the winery is managed by Dylan McMahon, who joined Seville Estate in 1998 following the passion ignited by his grandparents a generation before. While other wineries plant in established grounds, Seville Estate’s roots are set in the soil of the Upper Yarra Valley in the foothills of Mount Dandenong at an elevation of 200m.
