The 2020 Stoney Rise Pinot Noir is 90% fruit from Stoney Rise vineyards and 10% from their grower vineyards. It’s a very fresh, crisp style this vintage. There are lots of fresh fruits and our usual zingy acidity. The warm site allows for early picking, and this wine has come it at just 11.5% alcohol which adds to its freshness and vitality. It will develop some flesh over the next 6 months, if you have the patience.
"Beautiful aromatics. So pretty. Floral, spicy, raspberry and red cherry. A light and bony style, positively frisky, sour-edged red fruits and cranberry acidity, a lick of dusty tannin, and a sappy tart finish of solid length. You have to like them on the lean side, but its refreshing and interesting in that way.
