St Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

The 2018 St Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium dark crimson with garnet hues. Aromas of perfumed blueberries and hints of cocoa with overtones of violets and cooling dried herbs. Elegant and structural at its core with fine chalky tannins complimented by an even floral fruit spectrum, enhanced with subtle toasted oak.

"Matured 18 months in (49% new) 92/4/4% French/American /Hungarian oak barrels. Varietally exact and consummately engineered for the long haul, this is a quintessential St Hugo of might and poise. Deep, ripe black/redcurrants and cassis mark out a long palate, accented with sage and impeccably braced with classy French oak and a mouth-filling splay of fine tannins. Bright acidity completes a long finish."
