Giesen have crafted the Pure Light range to have maximum flavour with less alcohol and less calories than their full strength wines. So you can have it all… with less.
At 6% alc./vol. this wine is 50% lighter in alcohol compared to their standard Giesen Sauvignon Blanc (12.5% alc./vol), with only 48 calories and 1.6g of sugar per 125ml glass.
Giesen select premium New Zealand fruit for our Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc. They go through the entire winemaking process to craft a full-strength Sauvignon Blanc wine, and then use advanced spinning cone technology to delicately dealcoholise the wine down to 6% alcohol/volume which leaves us with a Sauvignon Blanc wine full of flavour….with only half the alcohol.
After harvest the Sauvignon Blanc fruit was batch-harvested at perfect ripeness with balanced tropical fruit, citrus and herbal flavours.
Fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to retain purity of fruit flavour and freshness, the wine then spent three months on less to build texture.
After blending, the wine was then gently de-alcoholised using our spinning cone technology down to 6% alcohol/volume.
