The 2019 Windy Peak Chardonnay is a medium colour with a green edge. Bright complex Chardonnay. Flint, citrus and floral notes on the nose. Gently textured palate, savoury, chalky phenolics, hints of nuts, great balance of variety and region.

Winery & Vintage Info

The fruit for the 2019 vintage of De Bortoli's Windy Peak Chardonnay was sourced from a selection of premium vineyards from Dixons Creek, Yarra Glen and Tarrawarra. Conditions were perfect for Chardonnay, it was early, warm and the season was dry. Fruit is gently pressed and allowed to settle overnight. Turbid juice is then racked to both French oak casks and stainless tanks. Lees are stirred in late autumn and then left to rest until the finishing stages before blending and bottling.
