Frogmore Creek's story began in 1997 when Jack Kidwiler, an American entrepreneur with a passion for fine wine, recognised the extraordinary potential of Tasmania's Coal River Valley for producing world-class cool-climate wines. The property takes its name from the historic Frogmore Estate, which dates back to the early colonial period, connecting the modern winery to Tasmania's rich heritage. From its inception, Frogmore Creek has been at the forefront of Tasmania's wine renaissance, pioneering sustainable farming practices and championing the region's capability to produce wines of international calibre. The winery's commitment to excellence was further strengthened when renowned winemaker Alain Rousseau joined the team, bringing European expertise to complement Tasmania's unique terroir.
