Dalla Mia Finestra Yarra Valley Shiraz Cabernet 2015

"An 80/20 blend of Shiraz and Cabernet, picked and co-fermented together. 142 cases made.

It’s a lovely wine, for sure, and the fragrance of Cabernet seems to really push it along beautifully. Red and black fruits, pepper, maybe violet, a subtle leafy note, and a lick of sweet oak. Medium bodied, kind of juicy and plump, yet sophisticated and restrained too. Tannin has a firm graininess, but sits well within the wine, and the redcurrant and almost raspberry jube is spice-laden and very tasty. There’s a ‘minerally’ feel to the acidity too. It’s a clever blend for the Yarra Valley, and so nicely turned out."
