Despite the humour and fun reflected by these labels, Col McBryde and Jen Gardner from Adelina wines are deadly serious when it comes to their wines. The small scale production is traditional and minimalist with hand-picking in small lots, indigenous yeast fermentations, basket pressing and no filtration. The Punks (aka Col, Jen & Nic) source fruit from all over South Australia and the wine is made principally at the Adelina winery.

Now under the new-look label, the 2020 Passion Shiraz Cabernet is a blend of 85% Shiraz and 15% Cabernet from vineyards between McLaren Flat and Kangarilla in the Vale. It was matured in both stainless steel and neutral barriques, for retention of pure fruit and to keep things bright. – Producers Notes
