This 2023 vintage Pinot Noir Mystery Wine from Adelaide Hills region embodies the quintessential characteristics of a youthful and vibrant Pinot Noir. The nose reveals seductive notes of black cherry enhanced by exotic spices, while the palate delivers supple fresh berries and bright acidity, accompanied by a lingering finish of fine-grained tannins.

This mystery wine comes labelled from the winery. Whilst we cannot advertise the name we can tell you it received the following reviews.

"Pristine and elegantly expressed, the inviting bouquet shows
red cherry, strawberry and fragrant spice aromas with a delicate floral overtone. It’s equally appealing in the mouth with finely flowing mouthfeel backed by beautifully
infused tannins, finishing long and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2030."
93 Points - Sam King, Wine Orbit

"Sourced from the Gumeracha and Lobethal districts, this pours without pretension, light ruby in the glass, cherry fruit and tree-wood fragrance to get you interested. Then pure and straight Pinot flavour profiling with a little anise to add some spice. Bright and perky in the finish, with enough lingering Pinot forest-like earthiness to convince you it’s the real deal, even in its “lite” styling. Very drink-easy."

Winery & Vintage Info

2023 was a cool and late vintage, fortunately with enough sunny days to develop ripe, intense flavours. The 2023 Mystery Pinot is made up of four clones – MV6, 777, 114 and 115 from vineyards at Gumeracha and Lobethal.

Harvested in the cool of night and early morning, pristine de-stemmed fruit is tipped directly into fermenters without crushing to give a high percentage of whole berries. The fermenters are gently pumped over twice a day to keep the skins wet and promote gentle tannin extraction. After pressing the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks prior to blending to preserve freshness and vibrancy.
