Greenock Creek Jaensch Block Shiraz 2019 (Barossa Valley)

The Jaensch Block is made up of two vineyards that lie adjacent along a high ridge at Moppa in the northwestern corner of the Barossa at an altitude of 320 – 340 meters above sea level. The vineyard geology is defined by shallow clay topsoils over a layer of quartz and ironstone deposits. At one of the highest elevations in the Barossa Valley, the vineyard benefits from gully breezes that cool the canopy during harvest, reducing ripening and producing wines with silky tannin and meaty undertones.
