The aromas initially are closed and broody, with a little time opens up with layers of grilled meats, baked earth, Szechuan pepper, potpourri, black and blue berries with some nutty oak in the background. On the palate this wine has pure and intense fruit, with plush black and blue berries. The finish is long, with a poised elegant tannin structure.
